For most of our products, you can return items within 30 days of receiving them. This applies to a wide range of our offerings
To make the return process as smooth as possible, please ensure the following:
- The items are unused and in their original condition, including all parts and pieces from the original shipment.
- Incorrectly assembled, improperly mounted, or user-damaged items are not eligible for return.
Please note that My Car Planet is not responsible for additional costs related to the installation or use of incorrect or defective items, including labor, towing, repair, or rental car fees. We recommend checking that all items are appropriate and in good condition before installation.
We ask that you inspect your package immediately upon receipt for any missing, damaged, or incorrect items. If you receive a damaged item, please refuse delivery and ensure the carrier returns it to the sender. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for missing, damaged, or incorrect items after 30 days, regardless of fault.
Also, we are not liable for missing or stolen packages; all claims must be filed directly with the shipping provider.
Return Procedure
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please follow these steps to ensure a smooth return process:
- Refuse delivery if the item is damaged.
- If the damage occurs when the package is left in your absence, contact the shipping company immediately to arrange a return to the sender.
- Inspect all packages right away for missing, damaged, or incorrect items, and contact us as soon as possible to avoid being charged for both receipt and return freight.

Important Packaging Instructions:
- Ensure that returned items are securely wrapped. To avoid return shipment damage, please follow any special packaging recommendations provided.
- My Car Planet is not responsible for returns damaged due to poor packaging, so please take extra care when re-packaging.
Refund Processing
Refunds are typically processed and credited within 24 to 48 hours after our warehouse receives your returned products. The refund will be credited to the same payment method you used for the original purchase. Once your refund is finalized, you will receive a “credit approved” email.
Please note that while the refund process is fast, it can take 1–7 business days for your banking institution to reflect the credit in your account, so please keep this in mind when checking your account.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your order before receiving our formal order confirmation. Once your order is confirmed, it moves quickly into processing for shipment, and unfortunately, cancellations are no longer possible. This helps us provide you with fast and efficient service, ensuring your auto parts are on their way as soon as possible.
Please be aware of our order processing schedule. Orders placed between Friday at 5 PM EST (2:00 PM PST) and Monday at 9 AM EST (6:00 AM PST) cannot be canceled. This is because we work over the weekend to process and prepare orders for shipment, making sure everything is shipped out promptly.
This schedule helps minimize wait times, so whether you need a quick repair part or are stocking up, you can feel confident your order is already on its way!
Steps for Returning an Item
We recognize that returning a part may not always be straightforward, so we are committed to making the process as simple as possible. To ensure a smooth return, we ask that you clearly explain the issue you’ve encountered. If the returned part does not comply with the guidelines outlined in our return policy, a restocking fee of 25% of the total amount paid will be applied. This policy helps us manage our inventory efficiently and ensures we can continue providing excellent service in the future. It’s essential to order the correct part, and we highly recommend consulting with a certified mechanic or automotive expert before placing your order.
